Testimonies & pictures of our previous litters of Miniature Bernedoodles with their families in their new homes.

Here is one of Holly & Prince’s gorgeous babies. Willow was born on April the 17th, 2022 and here she is on her 1st birthday. Here is what her new family has to say about her.

Dear Edna and Willard,

Last Spring I wrote to you, “I am a dog person without a dog, and I have my heart set on a bernedoodle.”  How do I even begin to express the joy and love that adopting a mini bernedoodle from you has brought to my life?

Tomorrow, Willow turns one year old!  I grew up with dogs my entire life, but Willow is my first to have on my own, and we are a very tight pack of two.  And while it’s just the two of us at home, she has a full life with many human and dog friends.  A ten minute walk down the road, and we are at my parents’ house – she loves time with her “Opa” and “Oma!”  And we are very grateful to have them close.  Each day, my father (who is retired) walks down to my house in the middle of the day and spends time with Willow while I work teaching fourth grade.  And we love Sunday’s when the whole family is together at my parents’ for family dinner.  My brother and his family have a dog named Finn, and Willow loves playing with her “cousin” and running around the yard with my young niece and nephew.

When we’re not enjoying time with family, Willow and I like to explore one of the many trails in town, walk around the neighborhood saying “hi” to people and dogs, relax on the patio and in the backyard, eat peanut butter (a favorite treat of Willow’s!), and simply enjoy life at home.

I was drawn to the bernedoodle breed because of their personality traits, and Willow has proved to be the perfect fit for me, exceeding all expectations.  I have never known a dog that smiles like Willow.  She is so happy, and she shares her love and joy with everyone – this dog knows no stranger!  And I cannot take her anywhere without receiving compliments on her markings/color as well as her behavior.  I don’t know how training could be going better!  Willow is so intelligent and eager to please.

Because of Willow, I know unconditional love.
Because of Willow, I smile a lot more.
Because of Willow, I am a dog person with a dog!

When I lay down at night, with Willow peacefully in her bed right next to mine, I can’t help but see and feel how lucky I am, and I thank God for her every single day.

I could go on and on and send you countless pictures, but please know this – I love my dog so much!

Most sincerely, Hannah

One more thing…

Just wanted you to know what a joy it was working with you and Willard.  I talked with many breeders, and you all are head and shoulders above the rest.  The entire process was so positive.

Here’s one more picture of Willow, on her first birthday…

(Someday you know I’ll be back for a second pup!)

We love getting pictures and hearing how our puppies are doing. Here is what Jasper’s new family has to say about him. .
Edna & Willard. I hope all is well with you. Here’s a quick update on Jasper (Marlys & Chance; 10/30/21). He’s 7 and 8 months in these pictures. He weighs about 40 pounds at 8 months. He is a happy, healthy guy. He was definitely filled with energy as a little guy – I didn’t know what people meant about puppy “zoomies” until I saw him racing around in the early evening. He was very easy to crate train and potty train and learns other things easily. We’re still working on counter-surfing now that he’s tall enough to reach everything – I know we’ll get there with consistency.
Jasper loves everybody and every dog he meets, and I think he wishes there was more going on at home! He goes to daycare a couple times a week – it’s a fairly small group and it’s clear that he recognizes his “friends” when we get there. He’ll ignore some of the dogs coming in but start wagging and go up to others to say hi (they are often other doodles). Jasper is fun to watch with his toys. He plays with them much more than any other dog I’ve had (and hasn’t destroyed any of them!). There’s a picture of him with one of his favorites. We couldn’t tell if it was a cow, a horse, or a goat, so we named him CoHoGo and Jasper recognizes his name and will go get him when we say “Where’s CoHoGo?” He loves to play “fetch” with his green ball and is always ready to go for a walk (other pics).
I haven’t seen any recent or upcoming litters with Chance as a dad. Is he still with you?
Thank you – I think he’s pretty cute too! Now that his brown has faded, his colors match CoHoGo perfectly. And he is the cuddliest pup I’ve ever had – loves to curl up next to me and put his head on my lap or lay across my feet.
It’s fine if you put the pics and comments on your website. I enjoy reading through them.
Thank you and take care.

Ibbie is one of Angel & Chance’s gorgeous F1 miniature Bernedoodle puppies. She was born on May 14, 2021 and she is 8 mos. old in this picture. Here is an update from her family.
Hi Edna!

Ibbie is doing great! We hear nothing but good things from everyone who meets her. She absolutely loves people and other dogs. I’d say our biggest hurdle with her is her excitement around people and dogs.

We still feed her the Purina Pro Plan All Stages pet food and have had no problems with that at all. We chose to feed her 3 times a day up till 6 months then switched her to twice a day and we just feed her according to the package and her weight. I will say she is very food motivated so that was and has been helpful with training. She is 25lbs and I feel like she may fill out some more but doubt she will get much bigger. She was just spayed a couple weeks ago as well. Do you know how big the other female is that was in Ibbie’s litter?

Crate training wasn’t terrible just had to be consistent. After the first week or so I’d say she slept through the night and has since then been consistently 9:30pm in crate and 6-6:30am out so I will take that! I think the biggest thing with the crate is to not give in. It took awhile for Ibbie to not whine but we give her a kong treat during kennel time only and I really think that helps.

As far as her personality, she definitely has one of her own 😀. She is a very spunky, independent girl and very smart. She is not very cuddly though and definitely enjoys her own space. She loves attention all the time and to play for sure! We did enroll her in a puppy school right away at 12 weeks and I cannot say more good things about that. She knows sit, stay, down, leave it, place, of course we had to throw in shake, and we are working on getting better at our recall.

I have attached a couple recent pictures of her. We love her shag look but also like when she gets a fresh haircut and we can see those eyes!

Hope you also had a wonderful holidays!

I’d love to hear if Ibbie is anything like any of her siblings.

Amelia-HARLEY ROSE is one of Marlys & Jasper’s beautiful F1 miniature Bernedoodle puppies. She was born on March 21, 2021.

Hi Edna and Willard,

I just wanted to send along a couple pictures of Harley’s first birthday, which was Monday. As you can see, she is so incredibly loved and we truly cannot imagine our lives without her – thank you both again for such a sweet, laid back dog who was so easily trainable – she’s the best!!

Hope all is well with you both!  We love seeing all the new puppies and are always tempted to get another one. Maybe someday. 😉

Thanks! Angella

Dena is one of Crystal & Jasper’s beautiful F1 miniature Bernedoodles. She was born on September 28, 2020. She is 1 1/2 years old in this picture. Here is what her family is saying about her.
Hi Edna!
How are you, Willard and Jenna doing? I hope your spring weather has arrived!
I just thought I’d send you a photo of our big girl Dena at 1 1/2 years old! We can’t believe she is going to be two in September! The time has flown by.
She is so happy, squiggly and smart!! She’s very much a cuddler and kisser!! Shes still hovering around the 18 pound mark, but we think she’s getting longer everyday!! We just moved into our new home in Michigan, which she truly loves, especially all the running room in the basement!! These are photos without furniture as of yet.
I love following all the new puppies that are on Facebook! They are all so precious and beautiful!!
Talk to you soon-
Susan, Jim and Dena
Willa is one of Marlys & Chance’s gorgeous F1 miniature Bernedoodles. She was born on October 30, 2021. Here is what her family has to say about her.
Willard and Edna,

I just wanted to say a quick hello and provide you with a 6-month update on Willa. And yes, we kept the name Willa because we loved it! Since adopting Willa last December, she has been keeping us busy! Willa is always looking to play, no matter the time of day. She is fun, energetic, and loves to interact with other people and dogs. She is such a companion dog. She loves doing activities outside of the house with us, whether that is going for walks, trips to the pet store, or going for car rides. I wish you could see the amount of joy she gets from going on car rides. She loves to be outside, even in the rain and thunder…we were shocked at that! No matter where we go or who we see, she is always getting compliments and we are frequently asked where a dog like her can be adopted.

Willa has grown to just over 30 lbs at 6 months. She is healthy, active, and sometimes too smart! We have consistently been working on training with her and she picks things up very quickly. We were able to potty-train her quicker than expected and she knows many common command words such as sit, lay, off, or report. Since enrolling in classes at our local pet store, she has become quite the “social butterfly” when it comes to socializing with other dogs her age. It is a fun sight to see!

I hope all is well with you and your family! Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,
Brad and Stephanie
Franz is one of Bridget & Rocky’s beautiful F1 miniature puppies. He was born on February 12, 2020. This is what his family has to say about him.
Greetings Edna,
We hope you and your family are well.  The temptation in seeing Bridget and Rocky’s recent litter and adding a ‘true’ sibling for Franz was very strong.  Franz is such a great buddy.  He really just wants to make us happy and he is very predictable.  He likes his routines.  We have had him in agility previously, which he did well with.  He is a super fast little guy.  Solid muscle and 49lbs.  We wanted to share he has started with therapy training.  First class done.  We have several more weeks and some field trips to get through but we really feel he has the perfect temperament.  He is wonderful at my office, interacting with my coworkers and our guests.
Big thank you for a wonderful experience in 2020 that has continued with us.
We are gathering with a couple of Franz/Kayden’s littermates in May (Tina, Cooper, Lucy, Chewy).  We will send photos. This will be our third year of gathering together.
Take care,
Jennifer, Beth and Franz

Yusef-POCHU is one of Angel & Chance’s gorgeous puppies. His new family is totally in love with him. Here is what they have to say about him.

Hi Edna,
Hope you and the family are safe & healthy! We wanted to share the below review as thanks for your hard work in raising Pochu. 2 months into our lives with him, we couldn’t be happier!

We’re also attaching a few pictures. Feel free to use these and the below comments however you’d like on your website, Instagram, etc. We’re also happy to chat on the phone with prospective owners if anyone would like a reference.
Thanks again, Nish & Krishna

We could not have asked for better breeders for our dog Pochu than Edna & Willard at Bernedoodles & Bernese Mountain Dogs of the Open Prairie. Pochu is the perfect addition to our family, and our happiness is a testament to their hard work in his infancy!
Prior to Pochu arriving, we had a million questions for Edna and she responded to each one quickly and patiently. She was also communicative on where we stood in line, which litter we would get, when Pochu’s mother was expecting, and eventually when we could visit to choose him. She made the anxious process of waiting for our new puppy relatively easy to deal with.

2 months into our lives with him (he is 4 months old), Pochu is the perfect dog for us. He’s kind, affectionate, great with both dogs and people, and an incredibly quick learner. He was crate trained and sleeping through the night by night 3, which took a lot of the strain off of us in the first couple of weeks. Since then, he has mastered almost every command we’ve taught him inside of a day or two (most recently, he learned to ring a bell to go outside for potty within an hour from when we began practicing with him). Our trainer has remarked that Pochu’s ability to learn and perform commands is “ridiculous” for a puppy his age, and she felt he knows more at 4 months old than her own 6- and 9-year-old rescues. It’s incredibly comforting and motivating to have a dog who quickly and happily rewards the hard work we put into him.

We credit a lot of Pochu’s kindness and intelligence to the incredible love and care Edna and Willard put into him as a baby. We particularly were so happy that the baby pups have Edna and Willard’s grandkids around to play with! As a result of the love they showed him, Pochu came to us already well-socialized for his age – he loves people of all shapes, sizes, genders, and ages. He was also already ‘sitting to ask’ so often we thought it must have been natural behavior (hint – it wasn’t – Edna, Willard, and the family likely reinforced this behavior in him as a baby). Health-wise, Pochu has been perfectly healthy so far other than one small bout with giardia (he had minimal symptoms). We often get asked where we got Pochu when we walk him around downtown Chicago, and we’re only too happy to recommend Edna and Willard!!!!

Arthur-Jax is one of Crystal & Jasper’s gorgeous F1 mini Bernedoodles. He was born on March 20, 2021 Here is what his family has to say about him.

Good Morning Willard and Edna!  We hope you and your family are doing well!

We just want to update you on Hayes-Arthur/Jax!  He is growing and at last vet appt, 3 weeks ago, he weighed 15 lbs.
He was potty trained very quickly and has become very close friends with his brother Gus, our 12 year old maltipoo!

Jax has traveled with us to Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone and Jackson Hole!

We are now at our home in Texas, but going back to northern Mn in a couple of weeks.

He has acclimated so well with our family and friends and we are over the moon, so in love with him!!

Thank you for for such a sweet, smart, loving and beautiful dog!  We couldn’t be happier!! We will keep the updates coming.  We are so blessed to have such a beautiful dog and thank you very much for him!!

Hi Edna and Willard,
We just wanted to take a minute to say thanks again for such an amazing puppy. Harley is now 4 months old and still the sweetest, smartest, silliest girl, and we are all in love with her. She loves any and all people and dogs and is so good with both. She is truly so smart – she was pretty much potty trained after the first day we had her, and she learns new commands (like “drop it”) after only hearing them a couple times. She’s about 14 pounds at 17 weeks, so we’re guessing she’ll be right in the range you said she would be. People constantly stop us to ask what kind of dog she is because she’s so unique looking – not as “doodle-y”, more Berner looking – and we think she’s the cutest pup we’ve ever seen! 😊
I’m attaching a few recent pictures of her in case you’re interested. Also I wanted to tell you that if anyone in her litter wanted to reach out, we’d love to connect with her siblings, so please feel free to give any of them our info.
Thanks so much again!!  Hope all is well with you both and the family!

This is one of Crystal & Jasper’s adorable F1 black tri-color mini Bernedoodles. Here is what her family says about her.

Hi Edna!

We hope you are doing well! Love all the photos and videos of the new puppies!

Here’s little Dena in her new sleeping position. She’s 18 pounds now! And just over nine months!! It’s going by so fast!! She’s just as squiggly and playful as she was when you saw her last. She’s the love of our lives.

Have a great week

Vestor-LUKE is one of Dixie & Rocky’s gorgeous F1 mini Bernedoodle puppies born on 9.27.2020. He is 3 months old in this picture. Here is what his new family has to say about him. We love hearing how our puppies are doing in their new homes.
Hi Edna!
I hope you and Willard enjoyed your Christmas and New Years season.  What strikes all the members of my family, is what a happy puppy Luke is. He really is a delight. Luke is very loving of my whole family. From 8 year old to senior citizen he has befriended everyone and loves to frolic and play. You can see how delighted he is with his own speed as he runs in the grass and loves to turn summersaults and at the end of his run, and loves to roll down small hills. It’s so cute!  He has also become fast friends with my cat, who is a 20 pound Ragdoll cat.  I call out “Who wants to go to school?!”, and they both come running. While Charlie the cat can so far only come”, and “sit”, Luke has mastered the following:
1) Rings a bell to let us know he needs to go outside to potty
2) Sits in specific places with a point, including getting up and moving to another specified place

3) Follows Stay command (getting longer and longer)
3) Shakes hands
4) Can give you 5 (slap hands with you)
5) Will “rest” (lay his head on your lap on command)
6) lay
7) roll over
8) “wait” for a treat until “released” to come get it.
9) Fetch (Run to retrieve a thrown tennis ball, and bring it to me).
10) Can ALWAYS find me when I hide while we play “Where’s my puppy?”
11) Getting pretty strong with “Come” and “Down”
Luke is also progressing really nicely with loose leash walking. So far, we only do it in the house and yard, as I don’t want him out with other dogs before 16 weeks.
He really is amazing, Edna!

He is easily the smartest dog I have ever known 😊.  I thought this would make you proud 😌

Thank you for all you did to breed and raise the best dog in the world!
Happy 2021!
Sincerely,
Eva
Paxton-MOOSE is one of Faith & Rocky’s gorgeous traditional black tri-colors. He was born on 4.7.2020. His new family is totally in love with him. This is what they have to say about him.

Hi Edna,
I hope you and Willard are doing well. Just wanted to provide a quick update on Moose. He’s weighing 40 lbs at just over 8 months….A big boy! Moose is the most handsome dood on the block – a showstopper!! He’s not just good looks though. Moose is so smart and has been so easy to train, too. Our trainer tells us every session how lucky we are to have such a well tempered pup. He’s so sweet with children and we’re so lucky to have him. We love our Moose sooo much!!!

Dena is one of Crystal & Jasper’s adorable puppies. She is 6 months old in this picture. Here is what her family says about her.

Hi Edna and Willard

Here’s our girl DENA at 6 months! She’s between 18 and 20 pounds, we think. I’ll know for sure tomorrow because she goes in for her spay appointment. She is so smart, happy and very cuddly and wiggly, which we absolutely love! She’s hit her adolescent phase, but is starting to come out of it. She starts her advanced puppy class next week.

She discovered the rocks in the landscaping, which she is promptly waiting for me to take from her in this photo.

Love the photos of your newest additions that you’ve been videoing! They are so adorable!

Have a great rest of your week and we’ll talk to you soon!

Evan-GIBBS is one of Grace & Rocky’s beautiful F1 miniature puppies. His new family loves him a lot. Here’s what they have to say about him. Hi Edna and Willard, and happy new year from us and Gibbs! He is 7 1/2 months old and weighs almost 38 pounds now. He is quite the celebrity in our community–every time we take him for a walk people stop us and ask what kind of dog he is or tell us he’s the most beautiful dog they’ve ever seen. 😊. Our kids were all here quite a bit for the holidays and Gibbs was so good. He never tried to get the ornaments on the tree and didn’t mess with the presents, either. I don’t think we could have asked for a better dog! Wishing you a blessed New Year

Becca-Stevie Licks is one of Crystal & Rocky’s beautiful puppies. Here she is at 11 weeks old.  Here’s what her new family has to say about her. Hi Edna-
I wanted to give you an update on Stevie. We are so thankful to you and Willard to have found this puppy she is truly something special and SO smart.
She is potty trained already! We got her doorbells and she rings when she needs to go out – she figured them out in 1 day.
She sleeps in her crate with no fuss through the night and sleeps in late with us on the weekends 🙂
We took her on a plane to Kansas City this week and carried her on in a bag- she didn’t make one peep the whole trip.
Your initial impression was right- she is very curious and so friendly. She loves both humans and dogs. When we walk down the street and she sees someone new she immediately approaches them then sits and stares them down until they give her attention… then immediately rolls over for a belly rub
We have passed along your name to several people who love Stevie (strangers and friends).
Thanks again for our Stevie!
Attached are a few new pics …. she is growing so fast! Up 6 lbs since we got her
Stevie and my mom

Here’s another picture of Becca-Stevie Licks. She’s such a beauty!

We wanted to wish Eleanor & Pippa’s 12 siblings a very Happy 1st Birthday today!! And birthday kisses to Mom Megan and Dad Rocky too!
Eleanor and Pippa or El and Pip as we mostly call them had a busy summer swimming in the pool, digging on the beach and walking on the boardwalk! Fall has been busy too with chasing squirrels and deer and even trick or treating on Halloween! Pippa is a definite pip and always a handful and into everything 😅 while Eleanor is a bit calmer and loves her belly rubs!!
We love the girls dearly and couldn’t imagine life without them!! They have the sweetest dispositions and make us happy everyday!!❤️
Best to All of You,
The Conway Family

Here’s Nate-Cooper, one of Hannah & Rocky’s beautiful puppies. Here’s what his new family has to say about him. We wanted to send some pictures of Cooper (Nate). He is such a lovable cuddly boy! He has a growing fan club among the Will County Judges. He is such a spoiled boy!

This is one of Brianne and Rocky’s beautiful puppies Xenia-Charlotte. Here’s what her new family has to say about her.
Edna,
Wanted to send some pictures and give you an update on Charlotte. She and our lab get along wonderfully! She is by far the easiest puppy I have ever owned. Easy to house break, not mouthy at all, and loves everyone she comes in contact with. She is currently 20 lbs at 19 weeks. The boys and I can’t get enough of her!

Bucky and Georgie have the privilege of living in the same home. Their new family says that it was love at first sight. She said it seemed as if they knew instantly that they came from the same home. I just absolutely love this picture! Bucky is from Bella and Xavier’s litter. He is a standard size and Georgie is from Megan and Rocky’s litter and she is a miniature. They are inseparable …..totally in love like I’ve said from the moment they met! It’s so heart warming……

She is such a sweet, smart, beautiful little girl. She loves everyone and everyone loves her. She doesn’t know a stranger! I am so thankful that we found you and Harper:)

And another one of Rocky & Megan’s beautiful puppies.             Cindy/June is great! She is so stinking adorable with such a sweet disposition to match. We are shocked by her intelligence:) She brings such joy to our family:)

Carly/Chloe is another one of Megan & Rocky’s sweet puppies. Chloe is a very intelligent dog and happy all the time. She wags her tail non-stop. It is unbelievable how smart she is. Now I see why these dogs are being used as service dogs. We will bring her over this spring so you can see her.

Here’s Quella at her new home. Her new family says: Tess is doing great and is so sweet! She is a quick learner.:):)

Isabel-Luna is one of Megan & Rocky’s gorgeous black tri-color puppies. Here’s what her new family has to say about her! Hi Edna Just wanted to let you know that Luna is very quickly adjusting. She loves sitting under the Christmas tree. She is a very good girl and she already lets us know when she wants to go outside.

Ira-Sully is one of Chloe & Rocky’s miniature bernedoodle puppies born on 3/30/2017. He is such a beauty! Here is what his new family has to say about him. Hi! I just wanted to send a quick pic. Sully (Ira) is doing really well in his class. There are 20 dogs in his class and he is one of the best behaved dogs. He is so smart and full of personality. He will be able to move on to the advanced class in November. I don’t know about other Bernese Mountain Dogs, but Sully hates water and being wet. In the pic, we are at a dog beach and it took him most of the day to tolerate getting his feet wet!

Frankie-Dolce is one of Chloe & Rocky’s gorgeous miniature puppies. Here’s what his new family has to say about him. Hi Edna,
This is Diana, Dolce’s happy mom! We FINALLY managed to take a picture of our wonderful dog. He is generally so calm, but when he sees the camera he starts to jump around. This one is a good one, though. Isn’t he handsome? We absolutely love him. I don’t know if this is true of all bernedoodles or just yours or just him, but he arrived to us potty trained at 10 weeks old. What a gift. At 4 months, he is now 20 lbs. I’m guessing from his big paws that he will be around 50 lbs, but we’ll see. He has a wonderful personality — intelligent and patient and ready to soak up as much cuddling as we can give him. We are so grateful to you and enjoy him every day.
Thank you!
Diana

Paige-Maizey is so beautiful! She is 4 1/2 months old in this picture. She is one of Crystal & Rocky’s sweet puppies. Here’s what her new family has to say about her. Edna,
I thought you might enjoy some pictures of Maizey.
She’s around 18-20lbs now. She’s got such a great and sweet personality. She really did well with getting potty trained.
Everywhere we take her people stop and ask us what breed she is and remark on what a cute puppy she is.
We have a little weekend farm in the Hill Country and she loves going there and running and running. She can get quite a dirty puppy out there!
She even got to experience snow, a couple of weeks ago we got some snow which is very unusual for us. She loved it!!
We had Christmas with my sisters family yesterday and there were 16 people here. She did so well around the little kids. My great nephews loved her!
Needless to say she is spoiled and we all love her dearly.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and blessings to you and your family.
Carly

Sammy-Luca is one of Brianne & Rocky’s gorgeous puppies! Here’s what his new family has to say about him! Hello Edna,
I hope this finds you well. Just wanted to let you know that Luca is doing fantastic! He went to the vet today and he weighs 17.7 lbs!!! I cannot get over it! Everyone at the vet comes to the front office when he is there because they adore him. They said another bernedoodle was in the other day (Luca was the first they have seen) but Luca was by far “better quality and more beautiful.” Everyone adores him. He is doing well with training, very bright, very good with sit and lay down. I was worried about how he would be with the Christmas tree but if I give him a tsk tsk sound he leaves it alone. His favorite thing is shoes, if anyone leaves one out, he will find it. I think he thinks it is a big game to run around with a shoe. Haha! House training is going pretty well. It hasn’t quite clicked with him that he has to go outside but we are getting there. Obviously, we are in love with him. If you hear from anyone else from his litter, I would love to hear how they are doing, feel free to share my email address with them. It would be fun to see how they grow and change.
Merry Christmas to you and your family,
Trish

Here’s Vinny-Andoille! He’s one of Brianne & Rocky’s beautiful puppies. He’s 13 weeks old in this picture and weighs 14.8 lbs. Here’s what his new family has to say about him. Hi Edna,
We’ve renamed Vinny to Andooille (like Andouille sausage) and he’s doing great! He has been very calm (except for a 1 hour a day crazy man phase), hasn’t chewed on anything untoward, and is getting used to the car & the beach quite well. Has yet to meet a person or (known, friendly, & vaccinated) dog he doesn’t like, is bell-trained for going out and crate trained for sleeping/when we’re not home.
His puppy coat isn’t as curly as some others, but he isn’t shedding. So we’ll see when he adult coat comes in.
Thanks so much for everything! I’ll send updates periodically!
Nicole

Ira-Sully is one of Chloe & Rocky’s beautiful puppies. He was born on 3/30/2018 Hi Edna, I wanted to continue to inform you of Sully’s progress to be a therapy dog. He is about to finish his class with advanced training, and is doing excellent. We are going to repeat the class just to reinforce the behavior especially since he is still not a year old yet. In his classes, some of the things he has mastered is:
Being put in a down while I leave the room
Staying still while distractions are going on (musical toys, loud noises, dogs barking, other dog movement)
Walking around the room while there are plates of food on the floor
Being brushed
Walking beside a wheelchair
Walking beside a cane
Having a live rabbit in front of him
Walking without a leash beside me
Sitting in a group of other dogs with a cheeseburger in the center of the circle
I’m sure there is much more that I cannot think of right now, but he is definitely on track to test in March. We have also been in touch with Edward Hospital in Naperville to be a part of their therapy program, as well as the Fox Valley therapy program that visits colleges during finals. I can’t wait to email you once he is finally certified and to send you those pictures. We love our little Sully Monster!!

Here is one of Megan & Rocky’s sweet puppies Kate-Milly. Here’s what her new family has to say about her. Edna: There are no words to describe the immense joy Milly has brought into our lives. She is simply gorgeous in every way. Incredibly, she has adjusted extremely well to the change in her life, and I believe it is due to us being totally smitten with her. She is playful, loving and rambunctious in a good way. She’s been going with me to my office every day, and is now my honorary law partner! We can’t thank you enough, Edna, for sending us the complete package of beauty, comfort, fun and joy. Simply put, our Milly rocks. I will keep in touch and send pictures of her as she grows. Until next time, “Dilly Dilly, Little Milly!!!”
All the best, Sam

Here’s Katie-Hope on her 1st birthday! She is one of Chloe & Rocky’s puppies born on 3/30/2017. Her owner says: Edna,
I wanted to send you some pictures of our beautiful Hope at 1 years old! She is 37 lbs which is perfect. After 3 Bernese Mountain Dogs we wanted a smaller dog in the city. Her temperament is amazing, great with people and other dogs. She is intelligent and comforting. We love her!!!
I’d love to see some pictures of her litter mates if anyone has sent you some. Curious how her size and disposition compares
Hope you had a beautiful Easter

Vinny-Andoille 3 photo credit @ImagesByErin.jpg Andoille is one of Brianne & Rocky’s beautiful puppies. He is 7 months old in this picture and he is gorgeous!!Hi Edna,
Just providing a check-in on Andooille. At about 7 months, he’s just shy of 40 pounds. He has straighter fur than some, but is super soft and does not seem to shed. Vet says he’s a bit behind the maturity curve physically, but not immensely so…just hasn’t hit his “teenager” phase as early as some others. He’s super sweet, smart, and a fanstastic buddy! He’s a great ambassador for the breed and gets lots of folks interested (I always refer them to you). He’s going to pack training at the end of May to get better at “chilling” in public without constantly wanting to play with everyone, but his basic skills are great. We may look to get him a buddy so he has someone to play with, but unfortunately probably can’t afford another bernedoodle which makes it hard for us to get another since we love him & the breed so much!

Vinny-Andoille.2jpg photo credit@ImagesByErin.jpg Here’s another picture of Andoille. He’s such a beauty!!

We took Raelyn-Moxie to the airport in Chicago and her new family picked her up and took her all the way to California. I was so happy that she did wonderful on the flight. I love this picture of her watching a movie on the plane. Here’s what her new family has to say about her! Hi Edna, Raelyn’s doing great! We renamed her “Moxie” and she is loving her new home and romping with our kiddos.
She was great on the plane. She was allowed to sit on my lap for the entire 4 hour flight (which was nice because she did not care for the carry bag).
Crate training is going well, I sleep next to the crate at night and can sing her back to sleep within minutes if she starts whimpering.
She is so sweet and so smart, she has already learned the doggie door and her outdoor potty spot. No inside potty accidents so far (fingers crossed).
We are feeling so blessed to have her a part of our family, thank you so much!

Here is an update on Kate-Milly from her family. I love what they have to say about her.            Edna:
Tonda and I wanted to give you an update on our “Milly”. At 6 months of age she is a solid 20lbs. We expect she will top out at no more than 30 lbs. As you can see from the photographs, Milly is perfectly proportioned and has magnificent and symmetrical tri-color markings. Simply put, she is “gorgeous”! She is “Ms. Social” and playfully engages with all whom she comes in contact. Everyone who meets her for the first wants to know “what kind of dog is that” and “where did you get her”. In short, she is a total “hit” with everyone! For the most part, wherever we go, Milly goes, including going with me to my office most days. She is also the perfect sized dog for our Airstream travels. Though she does have a stubborn streak, Milly is extremely intelligent and is doing well with various commands. The joy she has brought into our lives is indescribable. We can’t thank you enough for contact. Here’s Houston-Hank on his 1st birthday! He is one of Chloe & Rocky’s puppies! Born on 3/30/2017. You can watch him on Instagram @ hankeedoodle.

Pamela Sweetie Pie is one of Megan & Rocky’s adorable F1 miniature puppies. She weighs 22 lbs. at almost 1 year old. Here’s what her family has to say about her. Hi Edna,
Wonderful to hear from you. All is well, as we hope it is with you.
Sweetie Pie is a blessing. She is the most loving, affectionate dog we have ever had, more than anxious to lick you to death. She is highly intelligent and very social, and loves to be around other dogs and people. She is the queen of the dog park, not intimidated by other dogs notwithstanding their size (it also helps that she can run like the wind and most of them can’t catch her even though they are much bigger), plays beautifully and is known by name with all of the owners, with whom she constantly cuddles.
Of great importance is that our grandkids absolutely love her and want her over at their house all the time.
Sweetie Pie is a wonderful car traveler. We take her with us just about everywhere. We drove to Illinois (from our home in New Jersey) in the Spring to see our daughter, Erin, and her family, who, as you know, have SP’s brother Ferris (Freddie when you had him). SP was great on the road and when we stayed in the hotel on the way to and when returning. We are driving out to see them in a couple of weeks for Thanksgiving, and know she will be fine in the car. She and Ferris had a ball together in the the Spring and we are looking forward to watching them again.
SP weighs about 22 pounds. She was the runt and small to begin with. The vet thought she would be 25-30, but now thinks around 25. A perfect size for us. She still has all that puppy energy and burns a lot at the park, so we’ll see when she slows down a little. We are careful with her food and stay away from giving her table food which helps, although she gets her share of treats. My guess is that she gets some junk food when she is over at our friends houses, but I can live with that since I then don’t feel guilty eating M&M peanuts in front of her.
We gave your contact info to someone a couple of months ago. Met her at the park and fell in love with SP. No idea of her name.
Thank you again for Sweetie Pie. As I said, she is a blessing.
Regards and Blessing,

Here are some pictures of Cassie-Moxie. Chloe is her mother and Rocky is her daddy. This is what her new family has to say about her. Hi Edna,

Ramona-ROXIE is one of our gorgeous puppies. She is one of Crystal & Rocky’s puppies. She was born on 8/3/2017. She is 1 year and 3 months old in this picture. Her family says: I’ll have to ask my wife but I think she weighs 35 lbs. she gets 3-5 mile forest walks every day. She is a little spoiled! She is by far the best dog I have ever had.

Nate-COOPER is one of Hannah & Rocky’s gorgeous puppies. He was born on 2/1/2018. He is 9 months old in this picture. His family says: Hi! It’s been awhile. He’s about 32 pounds now. He’s super spoiled, my Dad can’t get enough of him. He even ordered Cooper a rain coat, here’s the pictures.

Check out the video above of our beautiful puppy Ramona-ROXIE. She is 1 year and 3 months old in this video.

Sweet Alik-Simon is one of Crystal & Rocky’s beautiful puppies. This is what his new family has to say about him. Oh, Edna and Willard, Just wanted to share a picture of our handsome boy! We absolutely adore him-we have had many different kinds of dogs during our married life but not one holds a candle to “Alik-Simon”. He is personality plus-easy going, intelligent, and loving! He has brought so much happiness and joy to our lives! We feel blessed to have him!🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 O I continue to look at all your new litters-I absolutely adore the Merle puppies fathered by your son’s Oreo male. I wanted you both to know one more thing that we love and appreciate about Simon. He is truly a gentle giant when he plays with our elderly six pound Maltese-he seems to know that she needs him to be easy with her and he is! She adores him!!!

Valerie-MELLIE is one of Faith & Rocky’s gorgeous puppies. Here’s what her new family has to say about her.

Hello Edna and Willard!    We cannot believe Mellie will be three months tomorrow! She is doing wonderfully in her new home. Every time we take her for a walk, someone is stopping us to tell Mellie how cute and well behaved she is. We live right by an elementary school and she is quite famous at recess. She is such a little fluff ball with the biggest personality – she definitely keeps us on our toes!    We are so grateful we found you. Mellie has been the perfect addition to our family and she is very loved.    I hope you both are well and I’m sure staying busy with the puppies! We will continue to post on Mellie’s instagram page (@BernedoodleMellie) so you can keep up with her adventures.    Best,   Joey & Jillian

Ira-Sully is one of Chloe & Rocky’s puppies. His family is so excited that he’s a fully certified therapy dog now: Willard & Edna, I am excited to finally send you the picture of our licensed and certified Therapy Dog. Sully has done great with his patience for this moment and trained very hard. He loves to visit patients at the hospital. He will also start going to schools, being a calming agent for children with autism, and so much more. He will be doing visits to colleges during finals week to relieve stress on college students. There are many more opportunities for Sully and we look forward to all the volunteer work we can do together! Sully is a pup from Chloe & Rocky’s litter 😊
Mason-Watson is one of Megan & Jasper’s adorable puppies. Here’s what his new family has to sat about him. Good afternoon Edna, Just wanted to pass along a quick update on Watson! He has been doing so well! He has adjusted to Raleigh, NC nicely. He loves playing with all his toys and meeting with the other family dogs Jake has! He is growing like a weed so far… over 10 pounds! He has a great temperament and is the best dog we could have ever asked for! He gets so many complements by strangers on how beautiful he is! We could not be happier!
We think it’s so awesome when the people who have one of our puppies come back and get another one. This is Ferris and Kevin. Their mom & dad are Megan and Rocky and they are almost exactly one year apart in age. Their family says: Good morning Edna! Just wanted you to know Ferris and Kevin are getting along wonderfully. I just took this picture as I was leaving to take Keenan to his basketball game this morning.
Hope all is well!
Uriah-MILO is one of Faith & Rocky’s gorgeous puppies. Here’s what his family has to say about him:
Dear Edna and Willard,
The Braun family in California hopes that your family (and your extended family) are well.
We just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how much we are enjoying our Milo who is now 5 1/2 months old. (From Faith and Rocky, born October 13, 2019) He is such a pleasure to have around during this crazy time. He makes us laugh each day, and keeps us active even while we are in quarantine.
He loves his daily walk around our neighborhood, and loves playing ball games in our backyard.
We may be biased but we think he is the most handsome bernedoodle of any we have seen! His personality is sweet and silly; he is very smart as well. We think he is going to be huge!
Milo loves having Reiner work from home during this shelter-in-place period. (More belly rubs and treats!) He is bonded closely to our college-age son, Justin, as well, who is home from the University of Miami, doing his classes online. Milo is popular in all the zoom platform meetings and classes that Reiner and Justin have online. We can’t really imagine our life without our pup.
It’s nice to see glimpses of your lives and your work on social media. Hope things aren’t too challenging in Arthur. Please stay healthy.
Regarding grooming, we have had him professionally groomed once but mostly we just wash him and blow him dry ourselves. He is so good natured that it isn’t hard; it’s just time consuming to blow him out. We think he is very attractive when at his floofiest and smelling good!
He weighs 35 pounds today at 5 1/2 months. I just noticed his sister Mellie is 30. I am guessing he will be pretty big for a “mini” but I suspected that when I chose him
